Bio:
“Montay Romero is a Los Angeles based freelance artist. He received his BFA in Dance Performance from the University of the Arts (Philadelphia, PA) in 2015. Montay has experience in both commercial and concert dance, this has been a creative merger for new avenues in his own process as an artist and creator. With a deep love and respect for a wide spectrum of art, culture, and street styles, he continues to find ways to reimagine his own potential through his abilities and identity as a black queer artist.”
Class Description:This is an open level Vogue Femme workshop. Montay Romero has created creative mergers from his training and work in both concert and commercial dance to inform new ideas and pathways. He has been an active member in the ballroom scene since 2015 and walks BQVF. Pushing boundaries while holding respect for the roots of this style has allowed new connection with self and community, both as a performer and teacher.
Open Level: All Levels are welcome to participate in class: Beginning, Beg/Int, Intermediate, Int/Adv, and Advanced
